Following the success of the event held at the Macfarlane’s property in Canterbury, Beef & Lamb, DINZ and NZDFA are joining forces to hold two Diversified Farm Field Days in the North Island.
The idea of the field days is to show the benefit of running sheep, cattle and deer within your farming business. With the number of properties across the country that have deer infrastructure but no deer there is a real opportunity to decrease risk and increase profitability.
Ginny Dodunski will also be attending to discuss the benefits of multispecies grazing to assist with managing drench resistance.
This is a great opportunity to bring those along that have deer infrastructure on their properties but haven’t yet seen the potential that deer offer to their business.

- Longbrook Farm on the 7th of October at 53 Ohurakura Road, Te Pohue, Hawkes Bay, or
- Westview Farming Partnership on the 11th of November at 29 no 2 line, Pohangina Valley, Manawatu
